Why Pay for expensive fabric dyes when you can use acrylic paint to change up items of your clothing that are looking a bit faded or have a stain or discoloured. You can mix any colour you can dream up, and apply it any way you want to.  I haven't done Tie Dye since I was in school so I wanted to have another play with it.
Here is a rejuvenated Tshirt that was long and narrow that we will use as a nightie. This was a lot of fun, and now I am looking through our drawers for more items we can play with.

A Crafty Crusader Project with Pebeo Porcelaine 150

Oh how I love Pebeo's Porcelaine 150 Markers. They were perfect for this job.  I was asked if I could paint on a serving Platter as a farewell gift for our minister and their family. After much thought I decided that it couldn't be just pretty, it had to have a nice quote that suited us and also serve as a reminder for them of all the good times we had, so they couldn't forget us. And They loved it, which is always good.
So here is how it turned out-

Dress Up Your Decor

I cant believe the enjoyment I have found in Pebeo's Glass/Ceramic and Fabric, paints and markers.  I would never have thought they were for me, Nor did I think that I wanted to own anything that was painted on with these mediums.  How wrong I was!
I have enjoyed creating each project, I have enjoyed creating original, unique gifts for family and friends, AND I love how these paints have rejuvenated, and recycled and made Cool my kids clothing. How plain used ceramic dishes have become pieces of treasured artworks.
These Pebeo Paints are seriously cool. (I was guilty of thinking the opposite) but not now.
The possibilities are endless and exciting.

My latest project involves taking my plain 10 year old cushions and painting a couple meaningful quotes on them. I Love them now, and it has made my living room look very cool.  I love text!!!

Anyway Check out my tutorial below:

Mepxy Marker Colouring In!!

Here is another of my Projects for Crafty Crusaders. This time using Mepxy markers in a different way. Using stamps create your own Colouring In page, then utilize your artwork by making it into original and special gift cards.

A Crafty Crusader Project, but this time with the, New to Me, Mepxy Markers. And I would have to say that I love using them.  The Brush markers are particularly fun.
One of the ways I am enjoying using these brush markers are for the first stage of a drawing.  It is so quick to block in the colour and the shadows, then to follow with pencil for the detail.  They are Brilliant for getting the depth of colour that usually takes ages with pencil alone.

Here are some of my sketches using the Brush Markers followed by pencil.

This is an idea I first saw on Pinterest and I love it.  The idea that a plate has no home because it is continually circulated from home to home full of Home baking to give someone a hand or show them that you care, is SOOO cool.  I love it! I just had to make one, Or three!!!

Reclaiming unused, marked down Christmas Cards - cheap cardstock!

Here is some of the fun I have had with the Schmincke AeroColor Inks with my card making.  The beauty and vibrancy of these inks make them such fun to play with.

Another Crafty Crusader Design team project

My son wanted his name Printed on His SAPSASA Jacket. You can get this done onsite at the events but its a bit expensive and you have to wait in line. Once I got my Pebeo Setacolor fabric paints I thought I could maybe give it a go myself with some of my lettering stamps.
It worked a treat.  The Fabric paint stamps really well, you can put whatever wherever you want. Its so cool, I cant wait now to try more stamping on fabric.

Create cool individualized gifts with Pebeo Porcelaine 150

My first attempt at Procelaine painting for the Crafty Crusader Design Team, and Oh My what fun! I needed a gift for my mother In law and this is perfect, a Huge serving Bowl and Platter, a matching pair.  She is going to love it. The cool thing about the Pebeo Glass and Porcelaine Paints and Markers is that you can tailor make each item to suit individual tastes. This is exactly her style.
